Gitarrissima - PROMO Video 2024
Dear world! 🌍
We are very happy to share with you some of what our concert repertoire in the season 23/24 consists of - we call it Our Favorite Things as we have collected some of our personal preferences when it comes to musical genres and styles (which are not only and necessarily classical 😉) and put them into a setting that is also very much new to us. So, we are beyond excited to present ourselves in a slightly different way this time. Hope you enjoy it! ❤️

Gitarrissima performs the last movement of "Rhapsody Japan" - an exciting medley of 6 Japanese popular folk-songs arranged for two guitars by Shingo Fujii (*1954). "Furusato" (eng. "hometown") was composed in 1914 with music by Teiichi Okano and lyrics by Tatsuyuki Takano. The song describes a person who is working in a distant land, expressing his feelings of nostalgia for the hills and fields...

Very nice playing and interpretation. Bravo for using guitars with different ranges, it sounds much better than trying to play 5 voices on regular guitars (squeezing 5 voices in 3 octaves and a few more notes...).!

The best version out there. From metal to beginners had tried to do this, Yes they are great in their on way. But this top it all! so clean and pure. You can even hear the fingers noise when they play this beautiful waltz.
